Currently, we have NO wait periods for NDIS participants.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians with disability to develop skills and capacity so that they can participate in work and community life. The NDIS may fund allied health and other therapy services related to a person’s disability including physiotherapy and exercise physiology.

Who is eligible to access services from Colab Health Group?

  • Self-managed participants

  • Plan-managed participants

We are currently not providing agency (NDIA) managed services.

Our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists can help you live a healthier life, gain independence, and participate in work and in the community.

What services we can provide?

  • Treatment to reduce the musculoskeletal symptoms of your disability

  • Prescribing exercise programs to improve strength, mobility, balance and flexibility

Our aim is to provide appropriate therapies to achieve your specified goals. This can be delivered on a 1:1 basis in the clinic or within a small group class as recommended by your therapists.

How are my appointments funded?

Self-managed: We will issue you an invoice for the service which is to be paid on the same day of service.

Plan Nominee: We will issue your Plan Nominee with an invoice which is to be settled on the day of service. (If this is not possible, payment will be required within 7 days of your service date)

Plan Management Provider: We will issue an invoice to the Participants Plan Management Provider directly.

Why see an accredited exercise physiologist (AEP)?

AEPs are experts in the human body, health and fitness. They can develop exercise programs for people with a variety of disabilities with the aim to help participants better manage their condition and build their capacity for activities of daily living.

AEPs prioritise safe and effective exercise and are able to tailor a program to suit the individual’s needs.

  • Strength training

  • Balance training

  • Matwork Clinical Pilates

  • Prescription of home exercise programs

  • Prescription of gym based programs
